Welcome to the Arrowhead AGO website! Thanks for visiting us. Our chapter membership includes musicians and those who support church music from all over the Iron Range and Arrowhead regions of northeast Minnesota and the five-county area of northwestern Wisconsin. 


We hope this website will provide you with information about who we are, our upcoming events, organs in the region and employment opportunities for area musicians.


                       


The Arrowhead Chapter of the American Guild of Organists is sponsoring a Pops Benefit Concert

and Silent Auction, Sunday, March 19 th , 3 PM at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd,

45 th Ave. East, Duluth, MN.  The benefit concert supports the Arrowhead Chapter Student

Scholarship Fund for beginning organ students 12-18 years and adults, continuing their studies

of the pipe organ. The public is invited to attend this event and enjoy the music, silent auction

and scones.

 

The concert will feature pipe organ, strings, Windchill Brass, vocals and hand bells, all by local

musicians. A silent auction with local artists and bakers providing a variety of items such as

stained glass, hand crotched and knitted hats, blankets, scarfs, pies, a barbeque table and

utensils. Enjoy a cup of coffee and scones, available for sale: buy one, four or by the dozen.  All

proceeds, along with the concert free-will offering will go to the Arrowhead Chapter Student

2017 Event Schedule


Youth from grades 3-12 are invited.  Learn about the pipe organ, how it sounds, play the organ, get inside the organ, play the pedals, and bring your favorite piano piece or just explore.  Interested adults are also welcome.
